MPFV266 Dance Film and Music Video 3cr

This course examines the history of dance film
and avant-garde filmmaking and their influence on
contemporary music videos.
The class includes viewings and production
assignments that ask students to create their own
work based on principles of the moving image,
choreography, and rhythm. At the end of this
course students produce a short dance film or
music video in collaboration with local dancers
and musicians.

Prerequisites: MPFV-210 and MPFV-220
