This course looks at the use of color in historical and contemporary sculptural practices. The goals of this course are for students to engage and understand the following:

-The qualities and properties of color.
-The influence of historical practices on the use
of color in sculpture.
-The use of color in object making.
-The relationship between color and meaning.
-The theories underlying contemporary
understanding of the social and psychological
impact of color.
