LASS243 Planet Earth: A User’s Guide 3 cr. This course examines the Earth’s landforms,
oceans, atmosphere and major physical processes.
It considers how natural systems and historic
natural processes influence human societies and
individual humans. It investigates the extent to
which past and present human activities may or
may not influence natural systems of the planet.
Students utilize Google Earth, in-class
activities, maps, and associated tools and
documents to investigate the Earth’s physical
geography.
Prerequisites: LALW100 and FRSM100
