EDID203 Design for Fabrication 3cr

The design of beautiful and desirable object is
enhanced by its details. Understanding the
benefits and limitations of materials and how they
come together to create products feeds the
attention to these details. When one makes this
object they have an intimate connection to these
details. By moving beyond the one-off and
developing the blueprint for multiples the
designer will develop the necessary communication
skills to translate these intentional coming
together with a keen focus on production methods
and color, material and finishes for fabrication
of these objects. Materials explored are wood,
metal, plastics, ceramics and glass.
